After graduating from law school at the National University of Singapore (NUS), she joined Allen & Gledhill, honing her skills as a litigator first before moving on to mergers and acquisitions. She was with the firm for nine years, where she made partner. Today, Sonita is the Deputy Director of the Legal Skills Programme at NUS.
