To commemorate SCGS’s 120th Anniversary, the school decided to undertake 120 different give-back projects under the SCGS Gives Back banner. One of the key events was the SCGS carnival & Family Day held on the 22nd February 2019. The SCGS Alumni was happy to support with a booth helmed in partnership with the SCGS Library. The booth sold preloved books, did face painting and sold specially designed nail stickers and commemorative bangles. We fielded long lines of Kimgeks all day, most clamoring to get their faces painted — unicorns and rainbows ruled the day, amidst a few dragons and superheroes; and to get their nails done up with our nail Peranakan design nail stickers that were available in a matchy mother-daughter sizes. The event ended on a high note for the school, the event and us. The event was a resounding success, far outstripping the event target, a real feather in the cap for all the Kimgeks involved, especially the planning committee who worked tirelessly. Kudos!
